Women’s Circle

We meet in a supportive and healing space to explore heart centred themes, enabling us to live with intention, listen to our intuition and honour the divine feminine

The Sanctuary’s women circle

The Sanctuary Women’s Circle is a different kind of girls’ night out, this is an evening of inspiration and greater connection – to yourself and to like-minded women.

We meet in circle to pause the demands of the outside world and to come together in community.

We welcome one another just as we are, to listen, to witness, to hold space for each other as we flow with the tides of our lives.

There will be meditation and energy healing, a safe sacred space for discussion and exploration of heart centred themes for living a life well lived and journaling, feel free to stay and chat afterwards.

Women have met in sacred circles for centuries, to support, empower, share with and nurture each other.

Next Circle: 16th August 2024

Leo season, 22 July - 22 August, invites you to stand in your light, embrace your fierce and generous heart, and celebrate your uniqueness and individuality. Leo rules the heart charka encouraging you to make time for deep introspection helping you to foster a deeper emotional connection to self and your authenticity.

Take time out to join me at this month’s women’s circle and recharge your spiritual energy, create powerful intentions that channel this fiery energy into action. Reflect on your individual way of working with this inspiring energy, step into your power, and to be fiercely committed to the profound journey self-discovery.

What to expect

Although each circle meeting can follow a slightly different format dependent upon the theme each evening will follow a similar format.

Welcome and intention setting.

After taking our seat at the circle we introduce ourselves, light a candle and set our intention for being there.

Settling in meditation to help centre and ground us.

Theme

The theme for the evening is introduced, along with any relevant poems or readings.

Time for each woman to share her insights and experiences in relation to the theme (sharing is not essential; you can still be an active valued member without speaking).

Meditation & Healing

(There may be gentle movement such as Qi Gong or gentle yoga to help settle the mind and body before meditation).

Either seated or lying down meditation, inviting us to still the mind and open the heart, to connect back in and listen to our innate wisdom.

While meditating there will be group healing through reiki energy healing, crystals and / or essential oils.

After the meditation there will be time to either stay in relaxation or to journal.

Close

The circle will close with a blessing.

At this point participants can either leave knowing the circle has been closed or choose to stay in connection, integrate, and enjoy each other’s company over a herbal tea.

What to bring:

Bring a journal and pen as there will be time for self-reflective journaling. This is an invitation for self-discovery to tune into what your heart, body and mind have to say. You may also like to bring a cushion and blanket for comfort in meditation.

Wear comfortable easy clothes.

Everyone is welcome, just as they are.

CIRCLE DATES

We meet near the full moon

We meet 4 -5 times throughout the year on Friday nights around the full moon. The full moon is a time when the feminine energy of the earth is at its fullest and we meet in circle at this time to harness the potent lunar energy to release, renew and manifest.

THE 5 FOUNDATIONS OF THE SANCTUARY WOMENS CIRCLE

Trust

We create a safe and sacred space where we commit to the confidentiality of the circle. What is said in circle stays in circle.

Listen

We listen with compassion and for wisdom. We create a space where each woman can be heard. We listen with compassion, and without judgement, honouring the journey that each of us is taking no matter how different this might be from our own, without offering advice, trying to fix or rescue one another.

Respect

We respect each other’s time by turning up on time, talking one at a time, respecting the need for silence, ensuring that each woman has equal amount of time to speak.

Responsibility

We take responsibility for our experience and our impact on the circle. This includes demonstrating self-respect and self-restraint, we ensure that our contribution adds to the positive experience of all in the circle.

Compassion

We actively open our hearts to every woman present, including ourselves.

Maya Angelou: Phenomenal Woman

Now you understand

Just why my head's not bowed.

I don't shout or jump about

Or have to talk real loud.

When you see me passing

It ought to make you proud.

I say, It's in the click of my heels,

The bend of my hair, the palm of my hand,

 The need of my care,

‘Cause I'm a woman

Phenomenally.

Phenomenal woman,

That's me.
