It all started when…
Connecting in, to your heart, your intuition, your values as well as social connections are so important for our self-esteem, and sense of belonging.
Bringing a kind and loving heart to both ourselves and those around us is also a vital part of cultivating meaningful and valuable relationships - of course this means that occasionally a bit of tough love is needed too - for ourselves and others! And so it important to listen in to heart to decipher what is needed in this moment.
Good quality relationships have shown to reduce levels of anxiety and depression and lead to higher self-esteem, increased levels of happiness and empathy.
And, like everything worth doing, relationships require time and effort. Healthy relationships require opening up, actively listening and sharing how you are feeling and what you are going through.
Thankfully, with the help of modern technology we’re able to stay in contact with family and friends. Give an old friend a call instead of sending a text, send a letter letting someone know how much you appreciate them, and better yet, if you can arrange a to go for a walk – exercise and therapy in one!!
